We both headed down to the Audubon Center in search of an American Redstart. Last year, we found a couple of birds nesting alongside the river. Maybe we could find one this year. In a similar location, I heard the call of the Redstart, so I kept an eye out for this little bird. After a while, I noticed movement in the bushes…

Found it. So it turned out that this is the female Redstart. Last year we saw both the male and female birds; the female was nesting. This year, a female was calling out. Maybe looking for a mate? We did not find a male bird this year.

I managed to capture a few images of this female American Redstart, before moving on.
