The following images were made at Death Valley Junction, to the east of the National Park. This is a canyon that may be navigated by one way traffic by vehicles. This year the playa had plenty of white salts that had crystallized from the saline waters. After making images in the hills, I returned to Lone Pine soon after the sun sank behind the Sierra Mountains.
