Whilst doing daily walks, I passed by some Sumac bushes that had started to turn. One bush had several flowers that had turned into a red fruit earlier during the summer. I found this Sumac fruit that was surrounded with a ring of green leaves.<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"544\" height=\"800\" src=\"https:\/\/matchgrun.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/3260-0003-Sumac-With-Fruit-Fall-Colors-No-1.jpg\" alt=\"3260-0003-Sumac-With-Fruit-Fall-Colors-No-1\" class=\"wp-image-10503\"\/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">Sumac With Fruit, Fall Colors, No 1.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p>Sumac typically turn from green to yellow then orange. Finally, when the leaves turn red, they are spectacular. The one that I had found was the Smooth Sumac. Here I found some leaves with their fall colors that had fallen into the gulch. Here I found an dark background that contrasted with the orange leaves.<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"547\" height=\"800\" src=\"https:\/\/matchgrun.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/3262-0012-Smooth-Sumac-Leaves-In-Orange.jpg\" alt=\"3262-0012-Smooth-Sumac-Leaves-In-Orange\" class=\"wp-image-10508\"\/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">Smooth Sumac Leaves, In Orange.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p>Close by, was another Sumac bush that had started to turn from green to yellow.
