Our cat Jasper was so happy to go outside this Thanksgiving morning. After coming back inside I captured this image of bliss!
Later, in the evening, I made this image of Punkin.

Stayed the night in St George. Could not help visiting Zion again.
Here is another rendition of The Watchman, similar to one I made with my big camera a couple of years ago.
A monochrome shot made near the campsite.
Our workshop came to an end last night. The Bodie mining town is located close to Lee Vining. With California state budget cuts, this state park may be closed. I took this opportunity to visit this historic mining town.

Another view of mine workings…

The old schoolhouse is still standing.

Many artifacts still remain inside.

The hotel also has some interesting artifacts. I don’t know about playing on that pool table… the building tilts down to the right!
This afternoon we arrived at Mono Lake to capture the sunset on the final evening of our workshop. We were welcomed with this beautiful soft afternoon light.

After the sun set over the mountains, the twilight colors reflected off the clouds to light up the tufas.
Yesterday we visited the memorial to Japanese internees at Manzanar.

Following this we continued on to the location where Ansel Adams made his image of Mount Williamson. Here is my rendition.
Photographed the Alabama Hills last night. The sit of many western movies with John Wayne, Roy Rogers and others. The hills are closed today for another movie shoot.
Last week I arrived at Furnace Creek in Death Valley. Below sea level here.

A view from Zabriski Point at sunset.
After flowing through Zion, the Virgin River flows close to
St George and exits to Arizona. Leaving I-15, I pulled for a rest near the River.

I continued on to Valley of Fires until sunset and on to Las Vegas.
